Sunday morning Race Experience.
Sessions are suitable for one person and run on Sunday mornings from 9.30am to 12.45pm. They must be reserved in advance. They're designed for YDSC Improvers or Novice racers taking their first steps into racing, so you'll need to be confident aboard a small craft and have your own wetsuit or drysuit.
Sessions are dependant on the weather being suitable for safe and enjoyable racing, so they won't run if it's too windy or there's no wind at all.
You'll be contacted a few days before your Session to confirm that everything is still going ahead or to give you the option to rebook if the conditions aren't expected to be suitable.
Free to YDSC members
YDSC is a registered charity.
A suitable donation of £50.00 for Non YDSC members is suggested for these sessions. Terms and Conditions Apply. Club members don't need to make a donation but sessions are subject to reservation.

What to bring
What to Expect
Around the racecourse you'll be an important part of the racing team both in the operation of the boat and the execution of tactics, but there's only as much responsibility as you want to take. No pressure... unless you want it!
Between the two back to back races, you'll stay on the water to discuss how it's going so far and if improvements can be made in the second race. Then it's time to go into the start sequence again for race two.
Your Race Experience aims to give you an insight into the thrill of racing. Hopefully it'll leave you wanting more!
